STEPPENWOLF Tundra 9.0 M2S - a high-performance full-suspension e-bike

DJI Avinox M2S – Extreme Performance in a Compact Design

At the heart of the Tundra 9.0 is the DJI Avinox M2S, one of the most powerful electric drives available today. The motor delivers up to 130 Nm of torque—even 150 Nm in Boost mode—and a peak power output of up to 1,300 W. With a maximum assist ratio of up to 800%, it can handle even the steepest climbs and technical ascents. Yet the motor weighs only about 2.59 kg. The motor uses a sensitive torque sensor and responds quickly to the force the rider applies to the pedals. This allows for precise power delivery and maintains rear-wheel traction during technical sections.

Avinox 800 Wh Battery

The large, integrated DJI Avinox battery with a capacity of 800 Wh provides enough power even for long mountain rides. Thanks to its high capacity, you don’t have to compromise between motor power and ride distance during all-day rides.

The e-bike is equipped with the Avinox system, which includes a 2" OLED touchscreen. This display provides an overview of ride data, battery status, and drive settings.

Carbon Frame and 160 mm Suspension

The model is built around a full-suspension carbon frame with modern trail geometry. Both the front and rear suspension offer 160 mm of travel, giving the Tundra 9.0 plenty of headroom when riding over roots, rocks, and technical obstacles.

Suspension is provided by an SR Suntour Durolux 38-EVO-Boost 160 mm fork up front and an SR Suntour Edge-Evo 205 × 65 mm air shock at the rear. The robust 38 mm fork construction increases front-end stiffness and helps maintain precise steering even during aggressive riding.

SRAM Eagle Transmission

The bike’s sporty character is highlighted by the SRAM Eagle 70 1×12 transmission. Shifting allows for fast and precise gear changes. The 10–52-tooth cassette offers a wide range that you’ll appreciate on steep climbs and fast descents.

Magura MT5 Four-Piston Brakes

Powerful Magura MT5 four-piston hydraulic brakes with 203 mm rotors front and rear ensure safe stopping power. High braking performance and precise modulation are especially important during long and steep descents.

29" wheels and a dropper seatpost

29" wheels provide stability at higher speeds and make it easier to navigate over roots and rocks. Maxxis Forekaster TR tires are suitable for versatile use on trails and forest roads. The STW Dropper Post allows you to comfortably lower the saddle while riding. This gives you more room to maneuver and better control of the bike before a technical descent.

The combination of a carbon frame, DJI Avinox M2S, 800Wh battery, 160mm travel, SRAM electronic shifting, and Magura four-piston brakes creates a versatile machine for demanding mountain climbs, technical trails, and fast descents. Avinox M2S

A high-performance motor with 130 Nm of torque (150 Nm in Boost mode), a peak power output of 1500 W (with the FP700 battery; 1,300 W with other batteries; or 1,500 W in Boost mode with the RS800) and a lightweight design (2.59 kg). The second generation features flat-wire winding for higher efficiency, quiet helical gearing, and Dual Gear Engagement technology, which eliminates rattling during descents without assistance. Internal resistance has been reduced by 41%, ensuring a natural ride even with a depleted battery. Integrated sensors enable adaptive power control based on cadence and riding conditions. Intelligent electronics ensure lightning-fast pedal response and smooth power delivery that will support you even on the most demanding terrain.

Avinox RS800 Battery

The Avinox RS800 battery, with a high capacity of 800 Wh, combines maximum power with the practicality of a removable system. Weighing 4.0 kg and featuring IP56 protection, it can be easily removed from the frame thanks to a locking mechanism and charged anywhere away from the bike. It delivers an impressive continuous power output of 1300 W and can reach a peak of 1500 W in Boost mode. Intelligent health management ensures 80% capacity retention after 500 cycles, and GaN technology enables ultra-fast charging.

Display Avinox DP100

The display is integrated into the frame of the e-bike. It has a 2" OLED touch panel with a resolution of 326 ppi and a brightness of up to 800 nits, which automatically adjusts to the ambient lighting. It features GPS sensors, a gyroscope, a barometer and support for Bluetooth 5.1, ANT+ and LTE-Cat.1. It allows you to track your route, speed, cadence and performance with 8 GB of internal memory and synchronisation via the app. Control is provided by one or two wireless controllers on the handlebars – the left one for setting the level of assistance and the right one for scrolling through the display (the right controller is only available on selected models). The USB-C port supports fast charging with a power output of up to 65 W.
