Motor and battery

The Tayen RS10 e-bike is powered by a Panasonic GXM mid-motor with a maximum torque of around 100Nm, providing strong assistance on climbs and hilly terrain. The battery is a 725Wh K2 MAXXPRO Carbon, integrated into the frame, which extends the range significantly - Kellys quotes a realistic range of around 120-150km depending on terrain and riding style.

Frame and construction

The frame is 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, robotically welded for added strength and light weight.
Boost rear axle (12×148mm) makes the rear of the bike stable and stiff, improving handling and ensuring longer component life.

Display and controls

The Panasonic GXM Center Display 501 is used to control the assistance, offering an overview of speed, battery status and the selected assistance mode. Kellys lists Bluetooth-connectivity for ride data transfer and the option for OTA updates.

Panasonic GXM 100 Mg Motor

The Panasonic GXM 100 Mg mid-drive motor is the flagship of the new generation of GXM e-bike drives (“Great eXperience in eMotion”). It delivers up to 100 Nm of torque, features an ultra-light magnesium casing weighing only about 2.6 kg, an open CAN-bus system allowing third-party battery use, and supports OTA (Over-The-Air) updates via a mobile app. Ideal for high-performance e-MTB bikes and demanding terrain.

Battery Kellys Maxxpro 725 Wh

Kellys, in cooperation with German battery manufacturer BMZ, presents a new series of batteries called Maxxpro, which excel in high energy density. Energy density is the amount of energy stored in a given amount of material, measured in Wh/kg. Carbon batteries are up to 20% lighter and offer higher capacity. The batteries weigh approximately 3.5 kg. To achieve low weight and high energy density, Kellys used an all-carbon battery body.
