The GIANT Explore E+ 4 STA trekking e-bike - the new model for 2023 is a great companion for trips in the countryside and riding in the city. The modern, comfortable frame is equipped with a SyncDrive Core Yamaha motor with 50 Nm of torque and a maximum boost of 300%. The base is an ALUXX aluminium frame equipped with a SyncDrive Core Yamaha mid-motor with 50 Nm of torque, 300% maximum support and Smart Assist mode, which is a fully automatic adjustment of the amount of motor support. A sophisticated PedalPlus sensor system ensures a completely seamless connection between the motor and your own power. A seamless connection between the motor and your own power is ensured by a set of six sensors that assess exactly how much power the motor should deliver, which also optimises battery power consumption. The result is an easily predictable and natural engine response, and a ride that is pleasant, smooth and with the optimum amount of power for the riding situation.

In terms of riding comfort, you'll appreciate the suspension fork with 63 mm travel and the reliable Tektro hydraulic disc brakes. The Explore E+ 4 STA also comes with mudguards, a rear rack, lighting and a kickstand. Power is supplied by a 500 Wh EnergyPak battery, which is integrated into the frame down tube and removes to the side. Fast yet gentle charging is provided by the EnergyPak 4A Smart Charger Compact. For increased range, an additional EnergyPak Plus 250 Wh battery is offered as an option. The RideDash Plus display (optional), which also includes separate buttons for Smart Assist auto mode, walk assist and lighting, ensures convenient switching between riding modes. The RideDash Plus display shows all important information. In addition to the five riding modes with a set amount of assistance, there is also a fully automatic Smart Assist mode, in which the system evaluates how much assistance the engine should deliver. This means you don't have to think about which driving mode is best at the time and can concentrate on the driving itself. The result is a smooth and natural ride with plenty of power for the driving situation.

Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can then pair your bike with the RideControl app that you download to your smartphone (download for Android, iOS). This app offers many other useful features, such as adjusting the amount of support in all riding modes or various fitness functions.

Control RideControl One ANT+

Minimalist design, showing basic information. The integrated control buttons and their clear layout take the driving experience to a new level. The robust buttons are designed for use in all conditions with a comfortable feel and grip. The controls are thoughtfully designed with new LED lighting to indicate battery level and support.

E-bikes equipped with RideControl One can be linked to the Giant E-bike App so your smartphone can act as a display for the e-bike. Ride Control ONE is compatible with ANT+ and Bluetooth signals.
