LIV Avail Advanced E+ Elite AR - women's road e-bike with carbon frame

Liv Avail Advanced E+ Elite AR is a women's endurance e-bike with a carbon frame (Advanced-Grade Composite) and aerodynamic fork. The look is reminiscent of a classic road bike: cables and controls are hidden in the frame, giving the whole concept a very clean look.

The compact GIANT SyncDrive Move Plus hub motor. The main 400 Wh battery is hidden in the frame (200 Wh range extender can be purchased - 600 Wh in total), so the range in ideal conditions is up to around 100 km (in real conditions more like 40-70 km).

Thanks to the flexible geometry and D-Fuse handlebars, the Avail E+ Elite AR is suitable for long rides on the road or paved roads - it absorbs bumps and reduces rider fatigue. Overall, it's designed for sporty road and endurance riding when the rider wants to combine the power of a road bike with the assistance of an engine, especially on longer trails or tough climbs. Shifting is handled by a SRAM Rival AXS 1×12 wireless groupset with wide cassette (10-44T) and reliable SRAM Rival AXS HRD hydraulic brakes with 160mm discs on both wheels.

Frame and geometry

This e-bike is designed as a rigid road platform - you won't find any suspension system here. Both the frame and fork are carbon: an "Advanced SL-Grade Composite" fork with an aerodynamic OverDrive cone (fixed, 12×100mm axle). The frame is highly rigid for efficient power transfer, while still allowing a degree of vertical compliance for comfort thanks to the precision carbon processing. The front fork does an excellent job of damping minor bumps on its own, while the rear frame structure is pure stiffness (better speed and response in race mode). There are no hydro-pneumatic shocks - only the carbon seatpost and wider tires add extra comfort.

Drive and gearing

At the heart of the bike is the GIANT SyncDrive Move Plus (hub) rear motor, which delivers 30Nm of torque at maximum output. Smart Assist technology ensures smooth power delivery to suit the rider's needs, so assistance feels natural. The assist speed limit is 45 km/h (25 km/h in Europe). A 400 Wh battery (in the frame) allows a range of ~40-100 km depending on terrain and assist mode; a second removable 200 Wh "Plus" battery extends the range to ~60-150 km. Transmission is designed as 1×12 (no front derailleur), which simplifies maintenance and saves weight. Shifting is handled by a SRAM Rival AXS wireless groupset (shifters), SRAM Rival XPLR AXS rear derailleur (specifically for wide cassettes) and SRAM XG-1251 12-speed cassette (10-44 tooth range). The cranks are equipped with a 46-tooth derailleur. Thanks to the AXS electronic shifting, gear changes are fast and precise, which you'll appreciate especially during sportive riding.

Brakes, wheels and tyres

The Liv Avail E+ Elite AR has SRAM Rival AXS HRD hydraulic disc brakes on both wheels. These combine power with precise modulation, so they can easily slow or stop the bike even in the wet. Each disc is 160mm, which is the standard size for road and gravel e-bikes. The Giant P-R2 rims are aluminum, tubeless-ready (22 mm inner width) and optimized for an electric bike (e-bike concept with reinforced spoke). Mounted are comfortable 35mm Schwalbe G-One Allround Performance road tires with RaceGuard protection. Wider 700×35C profiles improve stability and absorb bumps, contributing to overall comfort.

Comfort and ergonomics

The Liv Avail E+ Elite AR is designed primarily for comfort on long trails. The Liv Contact SL D-Fuse carbon handlebars have an ergonomic shape with an 8° flare, adapted to the female anatomy. This gives you a more stable "cut" in the knees when riding downhill and better control. The Giant D-Fuse carbon seatpost with 14mm offset absorbs vertical shock (equipped to reduce fatigue on longer rides). The Liv Approach saddle is sport-profiled, providing ample support for stages and explosive spurts. Wider tires (35 mm) and overall frame geometry for endurance add to the comfort - saddles and handlebars are set up so the rider doesn't feel too leaned over (endurance position).

Accessories, connectivity and safety

A minimalist RideControl GO LED controller is integrated to the handlebars (top tube of the frame) to show the active assistance mode and remaining battery level. ANT+/Bluetooth connectivity allows connection to the RideControl mobile app for calibration and firmware updates. Additionally, thanks to a partnership with SRAM, Liv supports mode settings via their blip buttons (SRAM Blips) directly on the handlebars, but a dedicated app can also be used. Safety is enhanced by the rear integrated LED light in the seatpost sleeve - it automatically lights up when braking. The frame also has mounts for installing mudguards, which you'll appreciate when the road is dirty or wet. Overall, the Avail Advanced E+ Elite AR is ready for year-round use - whether it's casual road trips or light adventure riding on lower class roads.

Target group and use

This e-bike is aimed at sporty women (or female riders) who want to combine the performance of a road bike with efficient electric assistance. It is suitable for long rides, training rides and bikepacking where long distances or challenging climbs need to be covered with less fatigue. Thanks to the lightweight carbon and dynamic motor, it can also handle a cyclist who is used to a faster pace on the road. On the other hand, it's also suited to female riders who value comfort (ergo the D-Fuse cockpit matters) and smooth progressive power while pedaling.

Battery GIANT EnergyPak 400 Wh

Lithium battery designed for Giant and Liv e-bikes so that it blends with the e-bike frame smooth and elegant. It can be charged both directly in the frame and separately after removal. Advanced BMS (Battery Management System) circuits optimize charging performance through continuous communication between battery and charger. Capacity: 400 Wh. Charging to 80% in 2:20, full in 4:30.
