Power and drive

At the heart of the Tayen RS50 is the Panasonic GXM MAXXPRO, with 105Nm of torque that provides significant assistance even on challenging terrain. This engine is designed to handle steep climbs and technical sections while remaining relatively compact and lightweight.

Battery and range

The e-bike is equipped with a KELLYS K2 MAXXPRO carbon battery with a capacity of 820 Wh, allowing a realistic range of 140-200 km depending on terrain, assistance mode and riding style.

Construction and frame

The frame is made of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, robotically welded in Europe, ensuring strength and light weight. The rear axle is a Boost type (12×148mm), which increases rigidity and stability when riding.

• Gearing: 1×10 (Shimano Cues U6000) - simple but sufficient for most trails

Technology and connectivity

The Tayen RS50 supports the Kellys Connect app to monitor battery status, performance and riding modes. With OTA updates, the engine system can be updated without the need for a service visit.

Motor Panasonic GXM MAXXPRO

MAXXPRO – a revolutionary new e-bike drive system. Designed to deliver full power without unnecessary weight. The GXM MAXXPRO motor, developed jointly by Kellys and Panasonic, has a torque of 105 Nm and weighs just 2.56 kg, with a special magnesium alloy casing. Optimized cooling and mounting. The combined motor and battery system weighs approximately 6.1 kg. Modular and modern electronics: Open architecture, over-the-air (OTA) update capability, and compatibility with various batteries via CAN bus (open system).

Battery Kellys Maxxpro 820 Wh

Kellys, in cooperation with German battery manufacturer BMZ, presents a new series of batteries called Maxxpro, which excel in high energy density. Energy density is the amount of energy stored in a given amount of material, measured in Wh/kg. Carbon batteries are up to 20% lighter and offer higher capacity. The batteries weigh approximately 3.5 kg. To achieve low weight and high energy density, Kellys used an all-carbon battery body.
