Hybrid Cycling technology combines the natural feel of traditional cycling with intelligent electrical support. Hybrid Cycling works with precise sensors that monitor pedaling power, cadence and speed. Based on this data, the motor delivers exactly the power the rider needs at any given moment. The result is a natural, smooth and quiet ride, without jerky reactions or a feeling of "engine push". It also contributes to better efficiency and longer range because the system only uses battery power when it is actually needed. This makes driving not only more comfortable, but also more economical.
All SyncDrive engines use Smart Assist technology, which adapts engine assistance to the needs of the driver. It is the only system in the e-bike category that uses both rider data and feedback from the field to determine the ideal level of engine support, using information from multiple sensors. It delivers a smooth and natural ride with enough power for the riding situation, while saving power when less is needed.
ALUXX SL Aluminum is a high-end aluminum alloy developed by GIANT for the production of lightweight and high-strength electric bike frames. It offers lower weight, higher strength and better stiffness, which translates directly into riding performance.
ALUXX SL frames are manufactured using advanced hydroforming, which allows the individual tubes to be precisely shaped according to their load. This makes the frames light where it's possible and strong where it's needed. The result is an optimal balance between strength, comfort and weight. The great advantage of this alloy is also its high resistance to material fatigue and corrosion, which guarantees a long frame life even under intensive use.

Powerful engine and long range
At the heart of the Fathom E+ EX is the Giant SyncDrive Pro 2 motor, which delivers up to 85Nm of torque and smooth pedaling assistance. The support is responsive and effective over a variety of terrain - from tarmac to forest paths to lighter trail sections. The e-bike is powered by an integrated Giant EnergyPak Smart battery (e.g. 750 Wh), offering a range suitable for longer trips and everyday riding.
Robust frame and comfortable ride
The Fathom E+ EX is built on a lightweight and durable ALUXX SL aluminium frame that combines with trail geometry to provide stability, confidence and riding comfort. A front fork with 130mm of travel soaks up bumps and adds confidence even on broken roads. 29″ wheels improve trail clearance and stability at higher speeds.
Practical accessories for everyday use
The EX version comes with a range of practical components that make the bike a truly versatile machine. Integrated mudguards, front and rear lights or a rear rack make it easy to use - whether on a weekend adventure with panniers or on the daily commute. There's even a tool rack/space for small gear on the top frame tube.

GIANT EnergyPak Smart 750 Wh battery
Battery designed for Giant and Liv electric bikes, which have a battery integrated in the bottom frame tube, with an extra 750 Wh capacity for a really high range. At the same time, it's still easily removable so you can charge it separately if needed.
This is the latest generation and highest quality battery technology that is purely integrated into the frame. It features an advanced Battery Management System for continuous communication between the battery and charger to optimize charging performance.
