Hybrid Cycling Technology is a system that combines electric power with human power to create the most efficient, powerful and natural electric cycling experience. It is the seamless extension of the rider's own power that sets Liv and Giant electric bikes apart from other electric bikes. The system consists of four key innovative technologies that work in harmony with the power of your own body - a seamless extension of your own abilities.
The RideControl Ergo control unit is right at hand at the left handlebar and allows you to comfortably control the e-bike. It features distinctive ergonomically shaped buttons for easy switching between riding modes and highly visible LEDs that indicate the selected riding mode and battery level. There is also a motor assist button to guide the bike while walking (walk assist function). The Giant RideControl smartphone app offers further useful features.

At the heart of the Explore E+ series is the ALUXX SL aluminium frame featuring a Giant SyncDrive Pro Yamaha mid-motor with 80Nm of torque, 360% maximum support and Smart Assist mode, which is a fully automatic adjustment of the amount of motor support. A completely seamless connection between the motor and your own power is provided by the sophisticated PedalPlus sensor system, which measures your pedaling power with high precision and evaluates how much power to deliver to the electric motor to make energy consumption as efficient as possible.
Even on longer trips, the EnergyPak 625 Wh side-removable battery provides plenty of power. Use the RideControl to switch on the electric drive and select the desired power level or the fully automatic Smart Assist mode. As you lean into the pedals, PedalPlus sensors are activated and transmit information to the control unit, which sends a request for the appropriate amount of power to the battery. The energy is then transferred to the motor, which immediately and smoothly starts up and starts assisting with pedalling. The Giant RideControl control unit is just to the left hand side and all models on offer also feature the new Giant RideDash Evo display. Handling the e-bike while walking is made easier by the walk assist function.
Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, the e-bike can be paired with the RideControl app, which can be downloaded to your smartphone (downloadable for Android, iOS). This app offers many useful features, such as adjusting the amount of support in all riding modes or various fitness functions. In terms of riding comfort, you'll appreciate the suspension fork with 63 mm of travel, as well as the reliable hydraulic disc brakes. All models are also equipped with mudguards, a rear rack, lighting and a kickstand.

The Giant RideControl app opens up a world of connectivity for your Giant e-bike. This app allows you to connect your phone to an e-bike , allowing you to keep your e-bike up to date , customize engine settings , and use the e-bike display to navigate.

Motor Giant SyncDrive Pro
Giant SyncDrive center 250 W electric motors are the result of the close cooperation of Giant with the leader in electric motors – Yamaha, guaranteeing their high quality and reliability.
Despite the compact size, they deliver a high torque of up to 80 Nm, which shows just as soon as you start your ride. Their immediate response is also important – the motor starts running as soon as you begin to pedal. This quick response will not only help you when accelerating, but also truly comes in handy in many steep climbs, when you rely on the e-bike to "pull" you up.
The SyncDrive motors produce proportional and linear support, and their operation is predictable, smooth and quiet, simply a natural boost to your own energy.
Baterry GIANT EnergyPak Smart 625 Wh
Battery designed for Giant and Liv electric bikes, which have the battery integrated in the lower frame tube. It has an extra capacity of 625 Wh for a really high range.
Advanced BMS (Battery Management System) circuitry optimizes charging performance through continuous communication between the battery and charger.
Charging time to 80% capacity: 2 hours and 20 minutes.
