GIANT Explore E+ 1 DD - the new model for 2023 is a great companion for trips in the countryside and riding in the city. The new frame with modern design is equipped with Yamaha's new SyncDrive Sport 2 engine, which is smaller and lighter than the first generation of this engine, torque has been increased to 75 Nm and maximum support has been increased to 400%. The base is an ALUXX aluminium frame equipped with a SyncDrive Sport 2 Yamaha mid-motor with 75 Nm of torque, a maximum boost of 400% and Smart Assist mode, which is a fully automatic adjustment of the amount of motor boost. A sophisticated PedalPlus sensor system ensures a completely seamless connection between the motor and your own power. A seamless connection between the motor and your own power is ensured by a set of six sensors that assess exactly how much power the motor should deliver, which also optimises battery power consumption. The result is an easily predictable and natural engine response, and a ride that is pleasant, smooth and with the optimum amount of power for the riding situation.

In terms of riding comfort, you'll appreciate the suspension fork with 100 mm travel and the reliable Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. The Explore E+ 1 DD is also equipped with mudguards, a rear rack, lighting and a kickstand. The EnergyPak Smart battery with a capacity of 625 Wh provides plenty of power and is fully integrated in the downtube and removable to the side. The EnergyPak 4A Smart Charger Compact provides fast yet gentle charging. For increased range, an additional EnergyPak Plus 250 Wh battery is offered as an option.

Convenient mode switching is provided by the RideControl Dash display, which also includes separate buttons for Smart Assist auto mode, walk assist and lighting. LEDs indicate the selected riding mode and battery level, and there's a USB-C connector for charging your phone. The RideControl Dash colour display integrated in the handlebar shows all important information. In addition to the five riding modes with a set amount of support, there is also a fully automatic Smart Assist mode, in which the system itself evaluates how much support the engine should deliver. This means that you don't have to think about which driving mode is best at the time and can concentrate on the driving itself. The result is a smooth and natural ride with plenty of power for the driving situation. Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can then pair your bike with the RideControl app that you download to your smartphone (download for Android, iOS). This app offers many other useful features, such as adjusting the amount of support in all riding modes or various fitness functions.

Baterry GIANT EnergyPak Smart 625 Wh

Battery designed for Giant and Liv electric bikes, which have the battery integrated in the lower frame tube. It has an extra capacity of 625 Wh for a really high range.

Advanced BMS (Battery Management System) circuitry optimizes charging performance through continuous communication between the battery and charger.

RideControl Dash

This two-in-one unit features buttons to control support modes plus an integrated color display. You can check range, battery level and support mode, along with standard cycling data such as speed and distance without having to another screen to the E-bike. It also has an ANT+ connection so you can connect a heart rate monitor and other fitness devices.
