The phenomenon of Fat E-Bike wide-wheel tyres is due to their unbeatable behaviour on unpaved terrain - snow, stones, mud etc. The tyres are also high and thus replace the shock absorbers, so there is no need to fit the Fat E-Bike with a front suspension fork. Thanks to this, the Fat E-Bike requires less maintenance and its weight is comparable to mountain e-bikes.
The Fat E-Bike has the disadvantage of a high rolling resistance of the tyres, so it requires more effort in classic pedalling. Leader Fox has therefore decided to fit the Braga with a powerful Bafang central motor and a 630 Wh high-capacity battery, so you can effortlessly enjoy unbelievable fun in the terrain, even in snow during the winter.

Among the new features are a fully integrated battery pack with powerful 17.5Ah (630Wh) battery and a USB port (which can be used to charge your phone, navigation system etc.). Another plus is a fast charger with a charging current of 3 A. This significantly reduces the battery charging time. The electric bike is equipped with a Bafang MODEST central motor providing a nominal power of 250W and maximum power of 350W. This motor also boasts a high torque that can reach up to 80 Nm and is equipped with an integrated speed sensor. The Bafang MODEST has quickly ranked among the established central drives, thanks to its high-quality processing. It also excels in very smooth and quiet operation and above average performance in climbing. The system is controlled by a colour LCD display and a push-button control located on the handlebars.

The LCD display, which has a Day and a Night mode, provides you with the necessary information - the current, maximum and average speeds; the distance travelled; the degree of battery assist and most importantly, the amount of charge remaining in the battery. This model offers 5 degrees of battery assist and a "walk" function. The battery can hold a charge for approximately 130 km.

Bafang has been one of the worlds largest manufacturers of e-bike components for over 10 years and in Europe its electric motors have become the ones setting the industry standards. In the last five years company has focused intensively on the production of central engines and it introduced an integrated central drive codenamed MAX, for which the MaxDrive design has become established in 2014. MaxDrive is used in many types of 250W / 36V e-bikes. Bafang is also the worlds number 1 manufacture when it comes to hub (front and rear) engines.

This type of motor doesn't use torque/pressure sensor. It's equiped with integrated rev counter instead which computes signals of pedaling and reads rev frequency from the main axle. This allows for MAXDRIVE motor to be more price competitive and represents much better value than motors that use torque sensor. It can also be easily modified by adding gear sensor.
