PearTune is connected between the speedometer sensor and the motor control unit, and between the display and the motor control unit. It draws power from the display’s power supply. All data, such as current speed and distance traveled, continues to be accurately displayed on the screen.
The only difference is that, from the moment of installation, you—not your bike—determine how fast you ride. The maximum speed limit of the Yamaha PW-X4 mid-drive motor is completely removed and is now limited only by your pedaling cadence. The chip works in combination with all available displays for this motor and activates automatically as soon as the e-bike is turned on.
