Gocycle G4i+ models feature updated versions of Gocycle's cutting-edge rider-focused technologies. These include a bespoke F1-inspired rider cockpit, predictive electronic shifting and a patented automotive-inspired Daytime Running Light (DRL) that enhances rider safety by making them more visible from a greater distance. Many unique rider-focused settings can now be set via the GocycleConnect app.

The Gocycle G4i+ is powered by the all-new G4drive™ electric motor. The G4drive™ delivers a smooth and quiet ride while providing increased torque and low-speed take-off capability - all in a compact package that is best-in-class. The patented G4drive™ and transmission have been developed over many years and put through many, many test miles in Gocycle's R&D facility to ensure they perform to the G4i+'s high reliability standards.

An all-new single-sided carbon fiber front fork incorporates a fully integrated G4drive™ electric motor and connects the Gocycle G4i+ chassis to the road. Its smooth and flowing lines provide a clean aesthetic while helping to reduce stress and overall weight. It was engineered with greater vertical compliance for improved comfort while maintaining directional stiffness for confident cornering.

Gocycle's renowned handling characteristics are further enhanced by the introduction of a new lighter and more precise carbon fibre centre frame, which forms the Gocycle G4i+ monocoque chassis. It provides a solid core and has the important task of linking the hydroformed aluminium front frame and Gocycle's patented magnesium Cleandrive. Three different components, three different materials, each optimized for three different roles.

Thanks to new tyres with a MotoGP-inspired tread pattern that was custom made for Gocycle, you'll have a great time riding smoothly. The lightweight tyres are infused with a silicon compound for superior grip and sure handling. Its wider construction and increased air volume promise a comfortable ride on urban surfaces.
The Gocycle G4i+'s removable, powerful lithium-ion battery is seamlessly integrated into the G4i+'s hydroformed aluminum frame. It provides a range of up to 50 miles (80 km) for the G4i+ (depending on pedal input) with a 3.5-hour fast charge now standard across the range from Gocycle's new 4A 36V charger.

An intuitive folding mechanism allows the Gocycle G4i+ to fold and store into a compact package in just 10 seconds. Once folded, it can be wheeled, making it incredibly versatile and easy to live with.

The G4i+ features a discreet integrated USB port on the handlebars that allows you to charge your phone or other small devices from the bike's battery when not in use.

The Gocycle G4i+ is also compatible with the GocycleConnect app, which provides an endless number of customized riding modes as well as interesting health stats such as calories burned, maximum and average pedaling power. Connectivity to the app has been improved with the inclusion of Bluetooth Low Energy technology. A modern e-bike like the Gocycle allows you to set your riding mode using a smartphone app via the Bluetooth version 4.0 interface. It is also possible to define your own assistance mode in the so-called "Custom" mode. The maximum speed, throttle force and engine power can be combined to suit your riding style.

You ask and we answer:

Does the Gocycle allow you to ride without pedalling like a moped?
In principle, yes, but the bike must be set in motion by the rider's own power up to a speed of approx. 10km/h, in other words, you can't just sit on the bike, "press a button" and ride away. In order for the bike to behave like a "moped", the pedalling obligation must be switched off via the app that controls the bike. There is then really no need to pedal the bike (once it is in motion), the rider only needs to hold down the acceleration button on the left handlebar (this is for safety reasons, so that if the bike falls over the engine will disengage). However, the above mode of operation of the bike is not in line with European legislation for bicycle operation and should not be used on public roads. I would also point out that in this mode (where the rider does not assist the ride with his own pedalling and leaves the movement entirely to the bike's motor) the range is significantly reduced, which may be as little as 10km, or even less (depending on the rider's weight, terrain profile, etc.).

Up to what speed does this eco help?
The motor assist is limited to 25km/h in all 3 pre-programmed modes (City/Eco/On Demand). However, in the custom mode (which is again set using the app via smartphone or tablet), the assist can be increased up to 32km/h. As a thank you for assisting to higher speeds, the range is reduced.

Is there engine power? Is it aggressive enough - sporty?
The motor power is quite sufficient to operate the bike as an electric bike, i.e. a bike with electric motor assistance. It's still a bike, it's not a moped or a motorbike. The bike was not designed for aggressive riding, but as a means of transport, especially for urban cycling, commuting, leisure activities, etc.

What is the engine torque?
The manufacturer does not specify. It is sufficient for the purpose for which the bike was designed, i.e. urban cycling and riding on paved surfaces. This eco (or any other) is not a motorcycle.

Is it possible to increase the motor boost above 25 km/h with a chip?
Chipping is not possible. The support can be increased up to 32km/h via the custom setting mode in the Smartphone app.
