SyncDrive engines use Smart Assist technology, which adapts power assistance to the needs of the rider. It uses information from multiple sensors, rider data and feedback from the field to determine the ideal level of power assistance. It delivers a smooth, natural ride with plenty of power when it's needed, while conserving when less is needed.

Fathom E+ e-bikes are more affordable compared to Fathom E+ Pro models. They boast a powerful Giant SyncDrive Yamaha mid-motor - a "Sport" motor with 70Nm of torque and 360% maximum boost is used. The battery, mounted on the downtube of the frame, is removed from underneath. The Fathom E+ models are built on ALUXX aluminium frames and use Giant SyncDrive Sport Yamaha engines with 70 Nm of torque, 360% maximum boost and a fully automatic engine assist function (Smart Assist mode). Thanks to the Giant PedalPlus sensor system, the engine's response is very natural and responds instantly to the force of your pedaling. High range is ensured by the Giant EnergyPak 500 Wh battery. The RideControl Dash control unit, which is right at your fingertips on the left handlebar, is used to select the ride mode - not without a walk assist button.
Other useful functions are offered by the RideControl App, which communicates with your e-bike via Bluetooth (via the control unit). A suspension fork with 120 mm of travel takes care of rough terrain, while hydraulic brakes with 180 mm discs provide high braking performance. Wider rims and tyres are also important for increased comfort and safe off-road riding - all three models on offer therefore have 30 mm wide rims and 29 x 2.4" tyres.
App RideControl
App Giant RideControl app opens up a world of connectivity for your Giant (LIV) e-bikes. This app allows you to link your phone to your e-bike, allowing you to keep your e-bike up to date, adjust your motor settings and use the e-bike display for navigation.

Motor GIANT SYNCDRIVE SPORT (250W)
The central electric motors are the result of the close cooperation of the Giant with the leader in electric motors - Yamaha, guaranteeing their high quality and reliability.
Despite the compact size, they deliver a high torque of up to 80 Nm, which shows just as soon as you start your ride. Their immediate response is also important – the motor starts running as soon as you begin to pedal. This quick response will not only help you when accelerating, but also truly comes in handy during many steep climbs, when you rely on the e-bike to "pull" you up.
The SyncDrive motors produce proportional and linear support, and their operation is predictable, smooth and quiet, simply a natural boost to your own energy.
Battery GIANT ENERGYPAK SMART 500
Battery designed for Giant and Liv e-bikes that have the battery integrated in the bottom frame tube. It has a capacity of 500 Wh and you can go really far with it. Advanced BMS (Battery Management System) circuitry optimizes charging performance through continuous communication between the battery and charger. Charging time to 80% capacity: 2 hours and 20 minutes. Dimensions: 435 x 77.5 x 67 mm.
RideControl Dash
This two-in-one unit features buttons to control support modes plus an integrated color display. You can check range, battery level and support mode, along with standard cycling data such as speed and distance without having to another screen to the E-bike. It also has an ANT+ connection so you can connect a heart rate monitor and other fitness devices.
