Bosch ConnectModule (BCM3101 and BCM3100): Digital protection for your eBike on a new level

Parking an eBike without worrying about its safety is often challenging. That is why Bosch eBike Systems developed the ConnectModule – an intelligent unit that turns your eBike into a digitally protected machine. There are currently two versions available, BCM3101 and BCM3100, which ensure your bike stays supervised even when you are not around.

Protection that doesn't end with GPS

The ConnectModule is permanently installed in the eBike and remains active even after parking thanks to its own battery, mobile connection, and motion sensors.

Smart reaction: The module detects unauthorized movement and activates an acoustic and visual alarm in the event of an attempted theft.
Immediate warning: The user is immediately informed via the eBike Flow app, and real-time location tracking starts automatically.
Worthless loot: If the module is removed, the system ensures the deactivation of motor support and locks the battery, rendering the bike a useless piece of hardware for the thief.
Localization: The eBike Flow app allows for easy generation of a theft report for the police or insurance company, including real-time location tracking.

Differences between the BCM3101 and BCM3100 models

While both modules share basic protection functions, the BCM3101 model brings improved localization capability thanks to Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) technology. This feature makes it possible to determine the eBike's position down to the last few meters, which is invaluable especially in places where the GPS signal is weak, such as basements or courtyards.

Both modules are designed for the "Smart System" from Bosch.

Flow+ service for full digital protection

For the ConnectModule to fully reach its potential, it requires a Flow+ subscription within the eBike Flow app. This premium service is the key to activating features like the eBike Alarm. When purchasing the module, you can take advantage of a 12-month free trial, allowing you to comfortably test the digital security features.

Installation and readiness

The ConnectModule can be retrofitted to eBikes with the Bosch Smart System, provided the manufacturer has prepared them for this option. The unit is mounted using a robust bracket with special screws, ensuring a firm and permanent fit on the frame.
