The Explore E+ touring e-bike with Yamaha's powerful SyncDrive Sport mid-motor will be your perfect companion for trips through the countryside or riding in the city. You can choose either a conventional frame (GTS version) or a frame with a lowered top tube (STA version) for easier mounting and dismounting. At the heart of the Explore E+ range is the ALUXX SL aluminum frame, featuring Yamaha's SyncDrive Sport mid-motor with 70Nm of torque, 350% maximum support and Smart Assist mode, which is a fully automatic adjustment of the amount of motor support.

A seamless connection between the motor and your own power is ensured by the sophisticated PedalPlus sensor system, which measures your pedaling power with high precision and evaluates how much power to deliver to the electric motor to ensure the most efficient use of energy (yours and the battery's). Use RideControl to switch on the electric drive and select the desired power level or the fully automatic Smart Assist mode. As you lean into the pedals, you activate the PedalPlus sensors, which transmit information to the control unit - which sends a request for the appropriate amount of power to the EnergyPak battery. The power is then transferred to the SyncDrive motor, which immediately and smoothly kicks in to help you pedal. 

Even on longer trips, the Giant EnergyPak Smart 500 Wh lithium battery, which is integrated into the bottom frame tube and removable from the bottom (the Explore E+ 3 has a 500 Wh EnergyPak battery that is removable to the side), provides plenty of power. The Giant RideControl is right at your left hand, and all models on offer also feature the new Giant RideDash Evo display. Handling the bike while walking is made easier with the walk assist function. 

Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can then pair your bike with the RideControl app, which you can download to your smartphone (downloadable for Android, iOS). This app will then offer, for example, adjustments to the amount of support in all riding modes or various fitness functions. In terms of riding comfort, you'll appreciate the suspension fork with 63 mm of travel and the reliable hydraulic disc brakes. All models are also equipped with mudguards, a rear rack, lighting and a kickstand.
