The Explore E+ Pro – the ALUXX SL aluminium frame and Yamaha's SyncDrive Pro mid-motor with 80Nm of torque, 360% maximum support and Smart Assist mode, which is a fully automatic adjustment of the amount of support. A completely seamless connection between the motor and your own power is provided by PedalPlus technology, a set of six sensors that measures your pedaling power with high precision and evaluates how much power to deliver to the motor to make battery power consumption as efficient as possible. 

Use RideControl to switch on the electric drive and select the desired power level or the fully automatic Smart Assist mode. As soon as you lean into the pedals you activate the PedalPlus sensors, which transmit information to the control unit. This "brain" of the system sends a request for the appropriate amount of energy to the EnergyPak battery in a flash. The energy is then transferred to the SyncDrive motor, which immediately and smoothly starts up and starts helping you pedal. The result is an easily predictable and natural motor response and a bike ride that is enjoyable, smooth and with plenty of power, regardless of the gear selected or the nature of the terrain. Ample power is supplied by the EnergyPak Smart battery, which is integrated into the frame down tube (so it's removable from underneath) and offers a superior 625 Wh capacity.

Then, thanks to Bluetooth connectivity, you can pair your bike with the RideControl app that you download to your smartphone (downloadable for Android, iOS). This app will then offer you many other useful features, such as adjusting the amount of support in all riding modes or various fitness functions. In terms of riding comfort, you'll appreciate the suspension fork with 63 mm of travel as well as the reliable hydraulic disc brakes. Both models on offer (GTS and STA) are equipped with a rear rack, lighting and kickstand.
